Are You Feeling Down Or Blue Or Depressed?
It is not unusual for you or a loved one to feel sad, down, or blue from time to time. There are many situations that might cause someone to feel depressed… the loss of a loved one or job, a bad grade or a disappointing performance at work or sport. You might not even understand today why you’re feeling depressed. Yet addressing depressed thoughts and feelings and behaviors sooner than later is very important.
Prolonged Depression Can Be Life Threatening
For some people depression is much more serious than feeling moody or having the blues for a few days. You can experience long periods of feeling profoundly sad and lose interest in all daily activities. This type of depression is a serious medical concern, and the best care is provided by cooperative support from the patient’s physician and therapist together.
